The Packers officially begin training camp today at St. Norbert's College in Green Bay and I couldn't be more excited for the upcoming season. The NFC North is looking to be a great division filled with drama (that's you, Mr. Favre), up and coming players and a wide-open race to first place. Here are a few predictions that I have for the NFC North this season:- At least one of the Wild Card teams for the NFC will come out of the North.
- The Chicago Bears will surprise a lot of people, especially on the defensive side of the ball, to pick up the slack that Jay Cutler leaves on the field.
- Brett Favre will (obviously) return, he'll play well, but not as well as last season.
- The Lions will start getting it together, but not enough as they'll finish with six or seven wins.
- The Green Bay Packers will show that team unity can overcome any lack of talent and they'll have a solid season of 11-4.
- Ryan Grant will finally live up to the expectations by Packers fans and will be a top five back this year.
At the end of the season, I'll hopefully remember to come back to these and see how well I did. I love football and I like to think that I know a few things about it, but I'm also completely horrible at predictions. It should be fun finding out either way, though!
