Growing up for me meant a lot of different things. Some of the larger parts would be cookies and Sesame Street. When those two things came together with Cookie Monster, it became the best thing ever. I was recently reminded of C.M. when Judy Cusick of the Downtown FDL Partnership brought us some delicious cookies and thankfully, through the power of YouTube, I was able to watch Cookie Monster again. It's also great to know that C.M. has been getting some attention outside of the Streets of Sesame. Talent scouts seem to have finally realized how much of an asset he can be to any show and that includes those for Martha Stewart. Lucky for you, I have those videos available for your viewing below. Try not to be drinking milk while watching these, and if you decide to, I am in no way liable for the damage of a milk soaked keyboard.

Yum Yum!
It has officially been way too long since I have posted anything, and so I thought that I would make a quick post here about Thanksgiving. It's only a little more than a week away and I think I owe it to my favorite dessert of all time to say thanks for all the years of topping off a great Thanksgiving meal with an unbeatable finish: Pumpkin Pie.
Whether it's a traditional pie, pumpkin bars, pumpkin bread, or the all new, and might I add, incredible, pumpkin shakes (trust me, they are fantastic), pumpkin desserts are beyond anything I can think of. So simple in form and nature and yet so explosively delicious that I cannot associate Thanksgiving with anything if not for pumpkin pie and its alternatives. Sure, football is right up there and family I guess, but pumpkin pie is where it's at!
