87 Years Ago Today - The first play-by-play coverage of a baseball game occured over the radio on KDKA in Pittsburgh. That game was between the Pittsburgh Corsairs and the Philadelphia Athletics. Pittsburgh won the game by the way, 8-5.

51 Years Ago Today - American Bandstand was first nationally broadcasted coast-to-coast. Dick Clark got America on its feet when he played "Whole Lotta Shakin" by Jerry Lee Lewis, the first record ever played on American Bandstand.
